Этот изысканный и аппетитный конкурс под названием New Jersey Annual Spirit of Gastronomy Photo Contest — дань уважения духу food-фотографии и всем, кто помогает уловить его, профессионалам и любителям. Победители получат существенные денежные награды, будут представлены на награждении Paella for the World Award и смогут бесплатно участвовать в New Jersey Paella Festival, осенью 2015.

Paella for the World announced an international photo contest
Trenton, NJ- Paella for the World Foundation and The New Jersey Photography Forum announced an international photo contest whose theme will be the world of food and gastronomy in general.
The name of this competition is the New Jersey Annual Spirit of Gastronomy Photo Contest. According to its organizers the intent of this contest is to honor the spirit of food photography and those who help capture it.
The winners will take home generous cash prizes, will be presented with a Paella for the World Award and will participate free of charge in the events of the second annual New Jersey Paella Festival ( fall of 2015).
The jury will be chaired by the prominent American photographer Nancy J. Ori, who in 1995 helped found The New Jersey Photography Forum. Two other prestigious photographers, whose names will be revealed later, will also be invited to join the judging panel.
Each contestant in the New Jersey Annual Spirit of Gastronomy Photo Contest may participate with only one photo ( digital format). However, the photographer may compete with the same image simultaneously in several categories.
In this competition anyone over the age of 18 from anywhere in the world may send their photo. New Jersey Annual Spirit of Gastronomy Photo Contest is opened to aficionados and professional photographers.
Pictures must be sent through http://paellafortheworld.org/ between December 13, 2014 and August 31, 2015.
The winners will be announced a few weeks before the second edition of New Jersey Paella Festival scheduled to be held at the end of September 2015.
The registration fee for this competition is extremely affordable (US $12.00) and can be paid through PayPal or credit card at the time the contestant submits their photo.

First New Jersey Annual Spirit of Gastronomy Photo Contest
Everyone who spends time around chefs, restaurants, and other aspects related to food understand there is a special spirit that surrounds the gastronomy. To honor the spirit of food photography and those who help capture it, we have created the First New Jersey Annual Spirit of Gastronomy Photo Contest.
SPONSOR
The contest sponsor are Paella for the World Foundation and Maecenas Association LLC. This contest counts with the technical support and advice from The New Jersey Photography Forum, a prestigious organization of photographers in the Garden State.
Rules of First New Jersey Annual Spirit of Gastronomy Photo Contest
TERM
The 2015 First New Jersey Annual Spirit of gastronomy Photo Contest (the “Contest”) begins December 12, 2014 at 12:00:00 p.m. US Eastern Daylight Time (“EDT”) and ends August 31, 2015, 12:00:00 p.m. US Eastern Daylight Time (“EDT”). ALL ENTRIES MUST BE RECEIVED BY AUGUST 31, 2015 AT 12:00:00 P.M. EDT. Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these official rules (“Official Rules”). By submitting an entry, each entrant agrees to the Official Rules and warrants that his or her entry complies with all requirements set out in the Official Rules. This is a skill-based contest and chance plays no part in the determination of winners.
WHO MAY ENTER
The First New Jersey Annual Spirit of Gastronomy Photo Contest is open to any photographer, 18 years of age or older, from any country. Professional photographers will be judged against other professionals and non-professionals against other non-professionals and students.
HOW TO ENTER
Each Entry consists of an entry form, a single image, and an entry fee. The entry fee is US$12 per entry. Photographers may enter each of their images in one or more of the categories. Each entry must comply with the following requirements:
• Photographs must be in digital format. Only online entries will be eligible. No print or film submissions will be accepted for entry into this Contest. The photograph need not be taken with a digital camera; scans of negatives, transparencies or photographic prints are acceptable. All digital files must be 20 megabytes or smaller, must be in JPEG or .jpg format, and must be at least 1,600 pixels wide (if a horizontal image) or 1,600 pixels tall (if a vertical image).
CONTEST PRIZES
First Prize: One First Prize will be awarded. The First Prize consists of:
(1) US $1,500
(2) The First Prize will also include a Paella for the World Award. The presentation of the awards will be held during the Paella Festival in the fall 2015.
(3) The First Prize will include economy air transportation between a major international or national gateway airport near the winner’s home (as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion) and Newark International Airport or JFK International Airport.
(4)The First Prize will also include three (3) night accommodations(local hotel in New Jersey). The prior is offered to the winners with the objective that he/she could be present at the ceremony for the Paella for the World Award.
(5) The winning image will be displayed on Paella for the World’s website.
(6) The winning photos will be exhibited during the New Jersey Paella Festival.
Winner is solely responsible for obtaining valid passports and any other documents necessary for international travel.
Second Prize: One Second Prize will be awarded. The Second Prize consists of:
1. US $1,200
2. The Second Prize will also include a Paella for the World Award. The presentation of the awards will be held during the Paella Festival in the fall 2015.
3. The winning photos will be exhibited during the New Jersey Paella Festival.
4. The winning image will be displayed on Paella for the World’s website.
Third Prize: One Third Prize will be awarded. The Third Prize consists of:
1. US $850
2.The Third Prize will also include a Paella for the World Award. The presentation of the awards will be held during the Paella Festival in the fall 2015.
3.The winning photos will be exhibited during the New Jersey Paella Festival.
4.The winning image will be displayed on Paella for the World’s website
Merit prizes: Ten (10) Merit Prizes will be awarded. Each Merit Prize consists of:
1. US$150
2. The winning photos(Merit prizes) will be exhibited during the New Jersey Paella Festival.
3. The winning image will be displayed on Paella for the World’s website.
JUDGING
Judging consists of two (2) rounds of evaluation. In Round One, each judge in a panel of photographic experts (at least one of whom will be independent of Sponsor) (“Judges”) will select twenty(20) entries from among all eligible entries based on the following criteria (“Judging Criteria”):(1) Creativity 50%; (2) Photographic quality 50%. The entries selected in Round One will proceed to Round Two. In Round Two, the Judges will collectively select a Winner for each prize level based on the Judging Criteria. In the event of a tie, the tied entries will be re-submitted to the Judges for a re-judging between the tied entries alone. In the event that a tie remains after re-judging, the entry with the highest score in the creativity criteria will be declared the winner. Winners will be chosen on or about August 31, 2015 and will be notified by e-mail. Decisions of the Judges are final and binding.
USE AND OWNERSHIP OF IMAGES
Copyright and all other rights remain that of the photographer. Any photograph used by Paella for the World Foundation shall carry the photographer’s credit line. Use may include publication in any Paella for the World Foundation media sponsor publication. All entrants understand that any image submitted to the competition may be used by Paella for the World Foundation for marketing and promotional purposes including in any media such as exhibitions, print and digital media directly related to the New Jersey Annual Spirit of Gastronomy Photo Contest, though there may not be monetary compensation.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
By entering this Contest, all entrants agree to release, discharge, and hold harmless Paella for the World and its partners, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising agencies, agents and their employees, officers, directors, and representatives from any claims, losses, and damages arising out of their participation in this Contest or any Contest-related activities and the acceptance and use, misuse, or possession of any prize awarded hereunder.
Paella for the World assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, or delay in operation or transmission; communications line failure; theft or destruction of or unauthorized access to Contest entries or entry forms; or alteration of entries or entry forms. Paella for the World and The First New Jersey Annual Spirit of Gastronomy Photo Contest is not responsible for any problems with or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail entry to be received on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website, human errors of any kind, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to entrants’ or any other persons’ computers related to or resulting from participation, uploading or downloading of any materials related to in this Contest.
RIGHT TO CANCEL OR SUSPEND CONTEST
If for any reason the Contest is not capable of running as planned, due to infection by computer virus, bugs, worms, trojan horses, denial of service attacks, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of The First New Jersey Annual Spirit of Gastronomy Photo Contest and Paella for the World that corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this Contest, The First New Jersey Annual Spirit of Gastronomy Photo Contest and Paella for the World reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual(s) who tamper with the entry process, and/or to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the Contest. If Sponsor elects to cancel or terminate the Contest, Sponsor will not retain any rights in the submitted photographs, and will return the fees submitted with each Entry.
