Организация "Медики мира" представляет Международный Гуманитарный Конкурс имени Luis Valtuena по фотографии. В этом году он будет проходить восемнадцатый раз и цель его рассказать об угрожающей ситуации, в которой находятся миллионы людей на нашей планете. Этот конкурс был учрежден в честь ряда медиков из организации "Медики мира", убитых в Руанде в 1997 году и в Боснии в 1995 году, которые выполняли свою гуманитарную миссию в этих странах.

Вы можете присылать заявки по любой из следующих тем:

- Гуманитарная акция;
- Международное сотрудничество;
- Социальное исключение ( недопущение)

Каждый участник может представить максимум 10 фотографий, которые могут быть серией работ, либо являться отдельными работами. Фотографии могут быть черно-белыми, либо цветными. Принимаются только фотографии, сделанные между январем 2012 года и октябрем 2014 года, и только те, что ранее не представлялись.
Фотографии необходимо присылать в формате с минимальным разрешением 300 pip/ppp в следующих двух форматах: TIFF ( с цветным профилем CMYK) или JPEG ( с цветным профилем RGB). Снимки должны быть пережаты в высоком качестве, с минимальным размером наименьшей стороны 30 см.
В конкурсе могут принимать участие как фотографы-любители, так и профессионалы, достигшие совершенолетия, любой национальности.

Призы:

Победитель получит грант в размере 6 000 Euro для реализации фото проекта, касающегося работы организации "Врачи мира", место реализации Испания, либо другая страна. Проект должен быть завершен к 15 декабря 2015 года.

Кроме того, из представленных фотографий будут отобраны работы для передвижной национальной и международной выставки.

This is the eighteenth consecutive year in which MÉDICOS DEL MUNDO has held the LUIS VALTUEÑA INTERNATIONAL HUMANITARIAN PHOTOGRAPHY AWARD. Conditions of entry are detailed below:

1. WHO CAN ENTER
The competition is open to adult amateur and professional photographers of any nationality.

2. THEMES
Entries must be related to any of the following themes: humanitarian action, international cooperation and social
exclusion –human rights violations, armed conflicts, natural disasters, refugee and immigrant populations, socially excluded groups, etc. – and/or to efforts aimed at building a fairer, more egalitarian world.

3. PHOTOS AND FORMAT
Each participant will be able to submit a maximum of ten photographs, which can be part of a series or standalone. The photographs may be in black and white or colour.
-Only photos taken between January 2012 and October 2014, and which have not been previously entered, will be accepted.
-The photographs must be submitted in digital format.

4. HOW TO SUBMIT ENTRIES
Photographs must be sent in digital format with a minimum resolution of 300 PPP in the format JPEG with RGB color profile. The images should be in high quality compression (12), with the minimum size being 30cm on the shortest side. The original structure of the digital image can be altered using darkroom techniques such as adjustments to brightness, color contrast, overexposure and underexposure. No other change to the original digital image will be allowed. Only single frame photos will be accepted. Photomontages and multiple exposures will exclude the photograph from the competition. In order to confirm compliance with the award rules, the organisation reserves the right to request original image files as registered by the camera before manipulation; or a scanned copy of the print, negative or transparency before manipulation. The digital images must not bear any mark identifying the entrant. Digital images will be sent by one of the following procedures:

Series Title or photos presented. Include the word 'Series' if you are presenting a series of pictures, specifying their order
Brief description of the work, 300 words
Captions 50 words maximum
Brief biography of the author
Technical Specifications: type of camera, digital or film, focal lengths or other technical data that the author may deem appropriate to emphasize.
In observance of the Organic Law 15/1999 on the Protection of Personal Data of Personal Character, Médicos del Mundo, informs that all personal information received will be incorporated in a file. Moreover, we inform that said information will be solely used for the purposes of the contest, in order to be able to contact the winners. If you wish, you can exercise your Rights of access, rectification, cancelation and opposition provided by the Law, writing a letter to Madrid, C/ Conde de Vilches #15.

5. DEADLINE
The deadline for the submission of entries is November 9th, 2015. The postmark on the envelope will be considered as the date of submission.

6. PRIZES
The following prizes will be awarded: FIRST PRIZE: a project grant of 6,000 euros The winner will receive a project grant worth € 6,000 to develop a photo project related to the work of Médicos del Mundo,, humanitarian action, international cooperation and/or social exclusion – violation of human rights, armed conflicts, natural disasters, refugee and immigrant populations, socially excluded groups, etc. whether in Spain or another country, subject to the approval of the Organisation. The winner will define the project’s objectives and further development jointly with Médicos del Mundo. The grant will cover all project expenses. Once the terms of the project have been established, Médicos del Mundo, will not require proof of spending. The grant will be paid in three installments: 50% at the announcement of the winner; 25% at the beginning of the project; and the remaining 25% at the end. The project will have to be finished before December 15th 2015. SELECTED PHOTOS Along with the winning entries, other photos will be selected from all those submitted to form part of a travelling national and international exhibition. Photographers will be contacted if their works have been chosen.

7. HOW WINNER WILL BE CHOSEN
The judging panel for the award can be checked on the award’s website. The panel will convene within forty-five days after the closing date, and the selection procedure will be as follows:
Winner
The jury will choose the three best works presented (or those which the jury deems appropriate), making them candidates for the first prize (project grant). Once selected, Médicos del Mundo, may require that the finalists submit a further sample of up to 12 photos dealing with one or two subjects, for the panel to select the overall winner. Once the panel has reached its final decision, winner will be notified. The panel’s decision will be reached by simple majority and the judges’ decision will be final. Should the entries submitted not be of a sufficient standard, the judges reserve the right not to award any prizes.

9. AWARDS CEREMONY
The awards will be presented publicly in January 2014, at a time and place to be advised.

10. GENERAL RULES
The winning photographer and the photographers whose works have been selected, having accepted the terms of the competition, authorize Medicos del Mundo to reproduce their work for the duration of five (5) years, in order to promote both the authors work and Medicos del Mundo’s campaigns at a national and international level in the following terms and conditions:
The right for reproduction only applies to the preparation of publicity banners and insertions in promotional press outlets covering this competition, in projects and campaigns of Medicos del Mundo, in the catalogue and panflets of the exposition, social media outlets (Flickr, Facebook and Twitter) and in capital campaigns for the organization.
The right of distribution in the press, magazines, catalogues, for the public, and also to accompany articles or reports in different media channels.
The right of public communication, in its condition of public exposure and in disposition of the subject to expose all the work, both of the winners and of the selected authors, in all the outlets discussed previously as well as facilitate to a third party the access to the websites already mentioned.
The authors of the photographs yield to Medicos del Mundo the rights of reproduction, exploitation, distribution, intellectual property and the rights of image of the photographs and authorize Medicos dl Mundo to yield these rights to third parties, in order to raise funds.
The authors will agree to yield their rights for the duration of five (5) years and authorize all the above mentioned for all the countries of the world.
All the images will be used including the name of the authors.
In no circumstances will the photos be returned to participants.
Participants will observe all legal requirements prevailing in matters of intellectual property and recognise the right of MÉDICOS DEL MUNDO to circulate the photos so as to promote MÉDICOS DEL MUNDO projects and campaigns. This will not infringe or prejudice the rights of any entrant of third party.
Medicos del Mundo España will respect the moral right, recognized in favor of the authors in the article 14 of the “Texto Refundido de la Ley de Propiedad Intelectual.”
MÉDICOS DEL MUNDO reserves the right to modify the competition timeline as outlined, in the interest of enhancing the success of the competition.
Participation in the contest entails acceptance of its conditions of entry.

11. EXCLUSION
Working members of Medicos del Mundo will not be able to participate in this competition.
