Entry rules:

• The photo contest GLOBAL WORLD: Through the Lens of Human Rights is open to all individuals worldwide who are at least 18 years of age, irrespective of their nationality or place of residence.

• There is no entry fee.

• Photos should not be older than 3 years (taken in 2007 at the latest). They can be previously published or unpublished and can be taken in colour or in black and white.

• An author can enter a single photograph (max. 3) or a photo story (min. 3, max. 6 photos).

• Submitted photos must contain a clear message that relates to the initiative GLOBAL WORLD: Through the Lens of Human Rights and to the topic of the contest.

• In case none of the submitted photos meets the criteria, the jury reserves the right not to award the prize. All decisions by the jury will be final.

• Employees of Ekvilib Institute and SPP Institute for the Promotion of Photography and their family members cannot enter the contest.

Rules for submission of photos:

o Only photos in digital form will be accepted. They should be stored in JPEG, PNG, or GIF format (max. quality). The longer side of photographs must be min. 3.000 px. long.

o Photos that have been digitally altered beyond standard optimization will not be accepted. Only minimal adjustments are allowed.

o Each photo or photo story must be accompanied with:

-  Applicant’s code, title of the photograph or photo story and information about the place and time of the photograph (year). This should be submitted in the following form: APPLICANT’S CODE_TITLE_ PLACE_YEAR OF ORIGIN.

-  A short text (max. 300 words) which describes the photographed situation (written in the entry form).
