Национальный Горный Музей в Турине (The Museo Nazionale della Montagna “Duca degli Abruzzi”) вместе с ассоциацией Associazione Italiana Ex Libris готовят масштабную выставку экслибриса в первом полугодии 2016 года. К этой выставке объявлен международный конкурс “AN EX LIBRIS FOR THE MUSEO NAZIONALE DELLA MONTAGNA”.
В нем 2 номинации: основная и для молодых авторов, до 35 лет. Участвовать можно только в одной, на выбор. Участие в конкурсе бесплатное.
Предмет конкурса: создание экслибриса для музея The Museo Nazionale della Montagna.
Экслибрис — это книжный ярлык или знак, наклеиваемый владельцами библиотек на книгу, преимущественно на внутреннюю сторону переплета.

Один художник может подать максимум три работы. Для каждой необходимо прислать пять подписанных копий. Все работы становятся собственностью организатора: могут свободно использоваться, воспроизводиться, публиковаться на усмотрение музея, без дополнительных оплат или разрешений. Присланные на конкурс работы не возвращаются. На оборотной стороне они должны быть понятно подписаны на европейском языке (не кириллица, арабский, китайский, японский): укажите технику, имя и фамилию художника, адрес.
Требования к работам
Допустимы работы в техниках: гравировка по меди, гравюра на дереве, литография, шелкография (opperplate engraving, wood-engraving, lithography and silk-screen printing). Максимальный размер экслибрис: 150 x 100 mm. Максимальный размер бумаги: 200 x 150 mm. Принимаются и вертикальный, и горизонтальный формат.
Работа на конкурс должна включать:
1) изображение музея и холма, на котором он расположен (the depiction of the Museo Nazionale della Montagna with the Monte dei Cappuccini (the hill on which the Museum is located); либо быть на тему гор или Альп (or an alpine or mountain subject); либо содержать образ, связанный с горным спортом: например, скалолазание, лыжи (or an image linked to climbing or to skiing or to other mountain sports); либо другие отсылки к темам музея и Итальянского Альпийского Клуба (or other proposals linked to the institutional themes of the Museum and the Italian Alpine Club).
2) надпись “EX LIBRIS MUSEO NAZIONALE DELLA MONTAGNA-TORINO” или, как альтернатива: “EX LIBRIS MUSEOMONTAGNA-TORINO”, вписанную в изображение.

Жюри и награды
В жюри уважаемые люди: директор музея, историк искусств, коллекционер экслибриса, скульптор, гравер (Gianni Carlo Sciolla, art historian, Aldo Audisio, director of the Museo Nazionale della Montagna, Leonardo Bizzaro, journalist and ex libris collector, Riccardo Cordero, sculptor, and Vincenzo Gatti, engraver).
Не менее 25 выбранных ими работ войдут в выставку и издание, посвященное событию. Из числа финалистов назовут обладателей первых трех мест в каждой категории.
Неделимый первый приз (выбирается из всех работ в 2х категориях): € 1500.
Второй приз в основной категории: € 750. Третий: € 500.
Второй приз в категории молодых: € 750. Третий: € 500.
Издание с работами бесплатно отправят победителям.
Организаторы настроены серьезно. До момента выставки строго запрещается показывать где-либо работы, отправленные на конкурс (включая веб-сайты и соцсети). В противном случае - исключение с конкурса. В случае нарушения правил - тоже.
Победителей объявят и наградят на торжественном открытии выставки и презентации издания, которое станет частью серии “Raccolte di Documentazione del Museo Nazionale della Montagna”. Дата события будет названа позже (первое полугодие 2016).

INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION OF EX LIBRIS “AN EX LIBRIS FOR THE MUSEO NAZIONALE DELLA MONTAGNA
Rules and regulations of the competition
Art. 1 The project. The Museo Nazionale della Montagna “Duca degli Abruzzi” of Turin, under the aegis of the A.I.E. (Associazione Italiana Ex Libris), on the occasion of the exhibition Ex libris delle montagne, planned for the first half of 2016, which will present the Museum’s collection of “mountain ex libris” amounting to about 4000 relevant items, is organising the INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION “An ex libris for the Museo Nazionale della Montagna”.
Art. 2 The competition. The competition is divided into two sections, a general category and a category for young people. It is open to both Italian and foreign artists and participation is free.
- The General Category is open to all participants, regardless of age.
- The Young Category, set up as promotion, is open to all participants under the age of 35 by the closing date set by the regulations for sending in works, that is, 30 November 2015.
It is only possible to take part in one section of the competition.
Art. 3 Subject. “An ex libris for the Museo Nazionale della Montagna”.
Art. 4 Number of works and their eventual use. Each artist can enter a maximum of three works. For every work entered in the competition, five signed copies of that work must also be sent in. All the works, becoming the property of the Museo Nazionale della Montagna, may be freely used, reproduced and published; at the final and unquestionable discretion of the Museum, without further authorisation or any economic payment. The works sent in, which will not be returned, must be clearly labelled on the reverse in a European language (not Cyrillic, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese) with: technique used, the artist’s name, surname and address.
Art. 5 Techniques and dimensions. The following techniques of graphic art are admitted: copperplate engraving, wood-engraving, lithography and silk-screen printing. The maximum size of the ex libris must be 150 x 100 mm. The maximum size of the paper must be 200 x 150 mm. Both vertical and horizontal formats are accepted.
Art. 6 Indications about the competition subject matter. The work must include the following: – the depiction of the Museo Nazionale della Montagna with the Monte dei Cappuccini (the hill on which the Museum is located); or an alpine or mountain subject; or an image linked to climbing or to skiing or to other mountain sports; or other proposals linked to the institutional themes of the Museum and the Italian Alpine Club. – the writing “EX LIBRIS MUSEO NAZIONALE DELLA MONTAGNA-TORINO” or, as an alterative, “EX LIBRIS MUSEOMONTAGNA-TORINO”, inserted into the image.
Art. 7 Terms of entry. The works and the fully filled-in entry form must be sent by registered post to: CONCORSO EX LIBRIS Museo Nazionale della Montagna “Duca degli Abruzzi” Piazzale Monte dei Cappuccini, 7 I-10131 TORINO ITALIA
Works must be sent in by 30 November 2015 (witness will be the postal mark or the shipping note). Works sent after this date will not be accepted for the competition and will not be returned.
Art. 8 Jury and prizes. The Jury, presided over by Gianni Carlo Sciolla, art historian, and composed of Aldo Audisio, director of the Museo Nazionale della Montagna, Leonardo Bizzaro, journalist and ex libris collector, Riccardo Cordero, sculptor, and Vincenzo Gatti, engraver, will select the works. The selected ex libris, no less than 25, will be exhibited on the occasion of the exhibition devoted to the Museum’s collection of ex libris and will be published in the volume produced for the event. An overall winner of the competition, and a second and a third prize in each category will be selected from among the finalists. – First prize outright, sole and undividable, chosen from among the ex libris entered in the two categories: € 1500 (one thousand five hundred euro). – General Category Second prize: € 750 (seven hundred and fifty euro) Third prize: € 500 (five hundred euro) – Young Category Second prize: € 750 (seven hundred and fifty euro) Third prize: € 500 (five hundred euro) The volume illustrating the reproduced works will be sent free to the selected artists. Until the inauguration of the exhibition it is strictly forbidden to publish or show the works sent in to the competition in any form and under any means (including web sites and social network); penalty is expulsion from the competition.
Art. 9 Prize giving. The winning ex libris will be announced and the prizes will be awarded at the Museo Nazionale della Montagna di Torino on the occasion of the inauguration of the exhibition and presentation of the volume, which will be part of the “Raccolte di Documentazione del Museo Nazionale della Montagna”, on a date to be defined, in the first half of 2016.
Art. 10 Conditions of participation. Incorrect observance of the rules laid out in the present regulations automatically means expulsion from the competition.
Art.11 Acceptance of the conditions. The participants accept the present regulations.
