Lexus Design Award приглашает дизайнеров из всех областей (архитектура, дизайн вещей, мода) принять участие в конкурсе.
Тема этого года - " Чувства"
Чувства играют существенную роль в нашей жизни: это то, что позволяет нам воспринимать окружающий мир.
Эта тема непосредственно относится к Lexus, поскольку сам опыт вождения базируется на чувствах, начиная от изумительного внешнего дизайна и кончая звуком безупречно отлаженного двигателя.
Работы могут быть выполнены в любой технике, но должны быть представлены в формате JPEG или GIF.
Все представленные работы остаются в исключительной собственности заявителей.

Призы:
- 12 финалистов будут приглашены на Milan Design Week 2015.
- Четверо из 12 финалистов получат до 2,5 миллионов йен ( приблизительно 24 000 USD) на создание опытного образца своего дизайна.
- Четыре опытных образца и восемь приборных панелей будут выставляться на стенде Lexus во время Milan Design Week 2015.
- Победившие авторы четырех опытных образцов будут приглашены на Milan Design Week 2015, где и будет назван единственный обладатель Гран при.

Участие в конкурсе бесплатное.

The Lexus Design Award was created in 2013 to support up and coming creators. By offering the chance to work with a worldclass designer and have a prototype realized, the award hopes to provide a unique opportunity unlike any other. As the Lexus Design Award is open to everyone, it always seeks to provide themes that can be interpreted across a wide range of disciplines.

This year’s theme is "Senses".

Senses are intrinsic to life: they are what allow us to perceive the world. Taking this purposefully broad theme, considering seeing, hearing, feeling, smelling and tasting, we open ourselves up to a wide range of possibilities.
This theme is particularly relevant to Lexus, as the whole driving experience is about senses: from seeing the striking exterior design, to hearing the sound of finely tuned engines and feeling the sensation of steering wheel. Everything is engaged.
Works may be produced in any medium but must be submitted as low res JPEG or GIF format. Up to 6 images can be uploaded (either single or composition images). There is no limit on the number of entries per person.

All works submitted will remain the exclusive property of the entrant. 

There is no entry fee.

Eligibility

Designers from all fields (architecture, product design, fashion) from all over the world are welcome to submit their entries.

Prize

• 12 finalists will be invited to Milan Design Week 2015.
• Four of the 12 finalists will receive up to 2.5 million yen (approx. 24,000 USD) each to develop a prototype of their design through sessions with an assigned mentor between January and March 2015.
• The four prototypes and eight panels will be exhibited at the lexus exhibition during Milan Design Week 2015.
• Each of the four prototype winners will be asked to present at Milan Design Week 2015, after which a single grand prix winner will be named.
