Для участия в конкурсе приглашаются студенты дизайнерских факультетов и дизайнеры- профессионалы из любой страны мира без ограничений по возрасту.
Задание: дизайн стула или стола. Изделие должно быть устойчивым, с возможными новыми свойствами в отношении дизайна, качества, технологии, процесса изготовления и т. п.
Сидение: основной используемый материал - древесина бука, дуба или орехового дерева. Стулья могут быть обиты материей, в отделке можно использовать шпон.
Столы: основной используемый материал - древесина бука, дуба или орехового дерева. В отделке может быть использован шпон.
Все предоставляемые проекты должны быть новыми. Те, что представлялись где- либо ранее, не принимаются. Разрешается использовать в качестве дополнительных, конструкционных другие материалы, такие как металл, пластик, стекло и др.
Призы:
1 приз - 3 000 Евро
2 приз - 1 000 Евро
Церемония награждения пройдет в декабре 2014 года.

Since 2000, Andreu World has been holding a juried competition to showcase unique and innovative seating and table design solutions. This event has established itself on the international scene by becoming a showcase for the latest trends in furniture design, as well as a launching pad for new artists.
Andreu World has now opened the registration period for its 2014 International Design Competition. The assignment is to design a chair or a table. The designs should be sustainable with possible innovative features related to design, quality, technology, production processes, etc.
• Seating: The main material used shall be Beech wood, Oak wood or Walnut. Chairs may be upholstered to a greater or lesser extent, if considered appropriate and veneered board or plywood
• Tables: The main material used shall be Beech wood, Oak wood or Walnut. Tables may be veneered board or plywood
All designs presented shall be new, not having been marketed or disclosed prior to the date of the Competition. The use of other materials such as metals, plastics, glass, etc. is allowed when complementary, structural or incidental to the above.
There is no entry fee.
Eligibility
The competition is open worldwide both to design students and to professionals, without age limit.
Prize
1st and 2nd prizes of 3000 Euro (approx. 4,000 USD) and 1000 Euro (approx. 1,500 USD), respectively, will be awarded by a jury composed of professionals from different sectors: Design, Industry, Media and other fields related to creative activities.
The jury will also award up to a maximum of 4 non-monetary, special mentions.
The award ceremony will be held on December 2014.
