Женская летняя арт-конференция и выставка-продажа работ. Участницам предлагается предоставить три работы на темы законов, человеческого поведения и социального контроля. Работы могут быть как 2D так и 3D. Отбор происходит на конкурсной основе.  Участие платное.

Women's Caucus for Art summer conference: Art and Social Justice. The conference takes place July 22, 2011 in St. Louis.Theme:Themis was the Greek goddess of divine law - the primal, unwritten laws governing human conduct, order, and social control. For this exhibition, we are not concentrating on the figure Themis but what she stands for. We are looking for artist perspective of laws, human conduct, and social control.
Eligibility and Specifications:Open to all Women artists. Work must have been executed within the last two years. Open to all 2D and 3D media. Unfortunately, we are unable to show video work in this exhibition.
Work must be wired and ready to hang, no sawtooth hangers please. Work submitted may not have been previously exhibited in any juried exhibition sponsored by WCA-STL Artist may submit up to 3 pieces, for consideration.
Juror:Christina Cosio serves as Assistant Director of the Exhibitions Department at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She received her BFA from Washington University, St. Louis and her MA from University of Missouri, St. Louis. Prior to moving to Chicago, Cosio worked in a variety of art institutions throughout the St. Louis area, including Laumeier Sculpture Park, the Pulitzer Foundation for the Arts, and the William and Florence Schmidt Art Center. She has held positions in education, curatorial, and collections departments.
Venue:Bouileau Hall is on the campus of Saint Louis University. 35 N. Vandeventer Ave. St. Louis, MO 63108 Gallery hours: Friday and Saturday 10am - 4pm or by appointment
Fee and Procedure:Artists may submit up to 3 pieces for consideration. Entry fee is $30 using PayPal.
TO APPLY:Apply-on-Line. Follow the steps to submit your application.
Images should be saved as jpeg images with a resolution of 300 dpi, sized at 4x6''. Upload at 1200 pixels on the longest side and a max of 8MB. Assign file names using your last name and the entry number. Example: doe1.jpg
Include a short artists statement for each piece. If selected the artists statement and image will be included in the catalog.
Entries must be submitted by April 30th 11:59pm CST
WCA-STL will retain a 25% commission on all sold work
Shipping:All work must be shipped so that it is received between June 15 - June 21.
Please no packing peanuts. Artists must provide return shipping.

Publicity:WCA and Saint Louis University peserve the right to photograph and use images of exhibited work. Artists agree to allow reproductions of the images taken of their art for educational, publicity, and archival purposes. The artist retains copyrights on all works.
Liability / Insurance:Artists are responsible for insuring their work while in transit, and, if deemed necessary by the artist, while on exhibit. SLUBouileau Hall will not insure the work.. Neither the WCA or SLU is responsible for damaged work.
WCA reserves the right to not exhibit any artwork that does not met the specifications of the prospectus including but not limited to, arriving after deadline, damaged in shipping, defective frames, lack of hanging hardware, etc. Saint Louis University and Boileau Hall provides security during regular gallery hours.

About:The Women's Caucus for Art was founded in 1972 in connection with the College Art Association (CAA).
It is a national member organization unique in its multidisciplinary, multicultural membership of artists, art historians, students, educators, and museum professionals.
The mission of the Women's Caucus for Art is to create community through art, education, and social activism.
We are committed to- recognizing the contributions of women in the arts- providing women with leadership opportunities and professional development- expanding networking and exhibition opportunities for women- supporting local, national, and global art activism- advocating for equity in the arts for all.
